The start of the Farm to Table food subscription program was a great success over the last couple of weeks. We continue to set up new drop off sites, as well as adding several for the subscription program that we are now calling "Farm to Pitt" because of the large number of subscribers and locations we are setting up in the Oakland and Pitt Campus area.
The produce received the first week included ripe strawberries (that were delicious), kale, salad greens and a loaf of wheat berry bread among others. Last week, the rhubarb was in fine form.There are more resources listed on our Eating Healthy resource list on the website, including recipes that you can use to cook up some of the food subscription produce. If anyone has any recipes that they would like to share, email them to us!
